Rim Fire Research Topics

The 2013 Rim Fire burned over 257,000 acres in the Stanislaus National Forest and Yosemite National Park, making it one of the largest fires in California since records have been kept. Scientists from over 25 institutions are trying to understand the impacts of this fire on topics ranging from terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems to public health and the perception of wildfire risk. These scientists have been gracious enough to share their list of research projects in order to promote collaboration and communication. As more information becomes available, we will post it here.
