This training is for professionals working in California who manage, permit, monitor and oversee prescribed fire in a range of capacities.

About this Event

We invite all fire agencies - CAL FIRE, USFS, local fire agencies, as well as large land managers to attend this free workshop in support of AB 1260 to help in the reduction of wildfires in California.

The training will provide attendees with an overview of the following topics

• How prescribed fire is managed in California from the federal level to local level

• Title 17 and fire management regulations

• PFIRS and smoke management plans

• Modeling

• Public outreach

• Accessing and using EBAMs
