Persistence of Sudden Oak Death Following Wildfires in The Big Sur Region

Presenter:  Maia Beh, UC Cooperative Extension

Description: This webinar covers key findings from research conducted in forests burned in 2008 that were heavily infested with Phytophthora ramorum, causal agent of sudden oak death, at the time of the wildfires. Participants will learn which characteristics of these coastal California forests contributed to the survival and persistence of the pathogen during and following the wildfires.
